Third World America-Deepened Invisibility
In front of your face, I stand in pain in front of your face, I lay in the streets weeping in front of your face, true hunger engulfs me You’re blinded to the horrific events in your own backyard you’ll much rather see it across the world or down below, nonetheless in front of your face, I am invisible. Third World America-Deepened Invisibility Our communities are ravished, this you choose not to see Raping mountains, no reclaimed space, tillage in its worse way You frequent your plays when Black Lungs are the real tragedy You keep us strapped down under this unleveled life of poverty, where you shame from and yet you cannot remember me Heaving pounds of coal over what used to be our picket fences Compassion for far off countries, their stories and experiences Right here! We are Third World America! Third World America-Depended Invisibility Poor America no one speaks about current illiteracy pains through economy strains. The well off class, refuses to see the waves you’ve created are drowning me. Devastation suffocates and is a cycle between you and me Third World America-Deepened Invisibility
